It began in 2015 with a research grant, a team of undergraduates, and an outstanding mentor. Today these RIT alumni are developing new cancer therapies, celebrating a patent, writing in science journals, and teaching the next generation of scientists.

After transferring to RIT, Kevin DiMagno became a biochemistry major to prepare for medical school after graduation. In this student spotlight, he talks about his interest in characterizing the function of NUDIX hydrolases enzymes and the focus of his research.

A group of 36 girls entering the eighth grade participated in RIT’s annual Summer Math Applications in Science with Hands-On (SMASH) Experience for Girls.

Some 200 RIT students, faculty and staff members participated in “Framing Frenzy” to build walls and frames for two two-story houses for Flower City Habitat for Humanity.

Pannullo is the first hard-of-hearing student at RIT to be recognized as a Barry Goldwater Scholar. It is the highest undergraduate award of its kind for the fields of the natural sciences, math and engineering.
