The online bachelor of science in applied arts and sciences at RIT is a customizable degree program for students who would like to combine different disciplines, or topic areas tailored to their goals and interests. This program is also ideal for students who may have prior college learning, and would like to change or expand their previous major to finish their undergraduate degree. In this degree program, you will work closely with an advisor to design your plan of study.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the bachelor of science in Applied Arts and Sciences program, candidates must complete the online application and fulfill the following requirements:

  • If you have never attended college previously, we require a high school transcript or copy of your GED or other high school equivalency document
  • If you have earned more than 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits of college credit, you are need only to send college transcripts 
  • A test of English Language aptitude is required of all applicants and course registrants whose native language is not English. Applicants are exempt if they have worked or studied in the U.S. for the last two years or they are from countries and attended universities whose native language is English.

Cost

The online BS in Applied Arts and Sciences requires 120 credits and costs $1,094 per credit hour (Academic Year 2020 – 2021).
