RIT wastewater levels overall remain moderately low, but we have seen some activity in the sampling over the last week which may indicate a slight increase in virus prevalence. This reminds us that we need to continue the behaviors that support RIT community health. The RIT COVID Alert Level remains at Yellow.
For the remainder of the spring semester, the Student Life Center is expanding open recreation opportunities for individual and distanced group activities among students, faculty, and staff. This includes use of the turf field and tennis courts, main gym, mini gym, upper level dance studio, and the elevated indoor track.
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) is intended to support students with expenses incurred as a result of the COVID-19 national emergency. The university will distribute nearly $5.2 million of the funding to provide emergency grants to the RIT students with the highest need in accordance with federal guidelines.
