Women’s, gender, and sexuality studies program honors first graduating class
The first class of graduates from RIT’s women’s, gender, and sexuality studies (WGSS) program will be celebrated during commencement this month. The bachelor’s degree program was approved and offered for current students in 2023, and enrollment will be available to incoming first-year students this fall.

RIT Ad/PR Majors Win Award at American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising District 2 Competition
Four advertising and public relations majors represented RIT in its debut at the annual American Advertising Federation (AAF) National Student Advertising District 2 Competition held April 20 in New York City. Recognized for skillfully answering the judges’ questions and leaving no question unanswered, the team won the “Best Q&A” award and placed fourth overall, beating out legacy participants.

Photography-design duo captures advertising award for perfume campaign
The photography of Kyra Allen '24 and art direction, layout and copywriting of Char Miller '24 netted the duo a silver American Advertising Award from the Rochester Advertising Federation.
