Peyton D’Anthony enjoys identifying patterns and creating new connections. Those are just two of the skills she hopes to instill in her students as a teacher in Kosovo this fall.

A friendship that started during RIT's Pre-College Portfolio Prep Workshop led to Jackie Drozd ’24 (illustration and graphic design) and Bari Hayden ’24 (graphic design) becoming great friends and roommates all four years at RIT.

Prodigious photographer, vocal virtuoso, and astronomy aficionado — Quinn Freidenburg '24 (photojournalism) is an RIT renaissance man. 

The first class of graduates from RIT’s women’s, gender, and sexuality studies (WGSS) program will be celebrated during commencement this month. The bachelor’s degree program was approved and offered for current students in 2023, and enrollment will be available to incoming first-year students this fall.

Four advertising and public relations majors represented RIT in its debut at the annual American Advertising Federation (AAF) National Student Advertising District 2 Competition held April 20 in New York City. Recognized for skillfully answering the judges’ questions and leaving no question unanswered, the team won the “Best Q&A” award and placed fourth overall, beating out legacy participants.

ECC students aim to foster dialogue on accessibility and inclusive communication practices, advocating for more inclusive assessment methods in higher education.

Finals week is approaching and, in addition to studying, a club of students, nearly 150 strong, gather to perform “Snake Eater” from the video game Metal Gear Solid 3, the title theme from Octopath Traveler, and “The Battle at the Summit” from Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Audience members attending The Machine won’t just watch a show, they’ll be part of it. The play will give guests a mirror mask to wear and explore spaces and events among the actors in any way they choose.

Nae is among the recipients of the 2024 Eisenhart Awards for Outstanding Teaching. After teaching at RIT for over a decade, her passion and attentive approach to education continues to shine, especially when talking about her students’ successes.

The photography of Kyra Allen '24 and art direction, layout and copywriting of Char Miller '24 netted the duo a silver American Advertising Award from the Rochester Advertising Federation.
