ROAR (Raise Our Annual Responses) Day is an annual day of giving that provides alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends the opportunity to come together to support the area of the university they care about most. This year marks the 16th ROAR Day at RIT.

GMG Color recently donated one of its high-end color management software systems, ColorProof, to RIT. The system will be used as part of classroom instruction and research projects based in RIT’s Department of Graphic Media Sciences and Technology to better evaluate color quality prior to print production.

Computing researchers at RIT are teaming up with Sappi, the leading global provider of sustainable woodfibre products and bio-based solutions, to improve innovation processes. Sappi is funding research to establish the Sappi–RIT Digital Innovation Lab in RIT’s Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. 

RIT’s College of Art and Design hosted a dedication ceremony on Friday marking the recent completion of a “transformational” renovation of the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences and honoring the alumnus whose gift made it possible. The event honored Chance Wright ’18, ’19 and his mother, Pamela Mars Wright, whose $3.5 million gift fueled the renovation and reconfiguration of the third floor of Gannett Hall.

RIT’s world-class home for cybersecurity has a new name. On March 8, RIT and ESL Federal Credit Union jointly announced an exclusive naming rights partnership for the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute at RIT.

While the SHED takes shape at the heart of the RIT campus, working groups are filling in the details of what will go inside the building.
