We have established a relationship with new federal Department of Education contacts and have kept the FY25 funding flowing and on time. Kate Sweeney and her team have done an amazing job putting together the FY26 operating budget, the FY27 budget request, providing training to staff assistants, and helping to ensure NTID’s fiscal health in the face of flat government funding.

Thank you for welcoming me this past month. It is an exciting time: meeting people, getting to know the many organizations here and around Rochester, and I look forward to more positive experiences. With all of us working together, we will continue the legacy of those before us.

You asked, and I’m answering! Here are a few of our students’ most burning questions. 

Admissions has wrapped up the Fall 2025 class and begun planning for the new recruitment cycle, and our counselors are ready to hit the road now and begin work to enroll our class for next fall.

We successfully conducted five on-campus summer programs this year, serving more than 230 students.
