Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology is internationally ranked and recognized. 

For the second year in a row, Saunders College of Business’s EMBA program ranks among the best in the nation.

Matej Dugandzic has long dreamed of owning a luxury hotel in his hometown of Cavtat, Croatia, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. He found a path to achieving his vision when he flipped through the pages of a magazine and found an article about RIT Croatia’s hospitality and tourism management degree.

RIT is growing its Ph.D. offerings, adding one new program in the fall of 2023 and two in 2024. This fall, Saunders College of Business will offer a Ph.D. in business administration. In 2024, the College of Liberal Arts will introduce a new doctoral degree in cognitive science and the College of Science will launch a Ph.D. in physics.

RIT has been recognized for offering some of the best online programs in the nation, including Saunders College of Business Executive MBA program, which held strong at No. 9 in the latest rankings.

Yahoo Finance features RIT's Online Executive MBA program for being ranked among the top 10 Best Online MBA programs for the second year in a row by U.S. News & World Report.

Saunders College of Business continues to be a leader in graduate programs nationally and internationally.

RIT is offering a new master’s degree in dietetics and nutrition to prepare graduates to become registered dietitian nutritionists with a deep understanding of food as medicine. The two-year graduate program will start in the fall and enrollment is open now.

Rich DeJordy comes to RIT as chair of the Department of Management at Saunders College of Business after serving in a similar role at the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. Before that, DeJordy was a faculty member for eight years at D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

Some people categorize themselves as right-brained or left-brained when describing what they excel at—whether they are more analytical and practical, or more creative and artistic. Both sides have their value, and Maddy Schoenfeld ’20 (metals and jewelry design) believes that combining the analytical and creative can elevate a small business.

During the 15 weeks between spring and fall semester, RIT students are finding ways to embrace new challenges. Some are taking the stage and performing. Others are winning club championships. For many, summer is a time to get work experience and participate in research projects, traveling abroad, and helping others while pursuing their passions.
