    Panel of key region stakeholders discusses demands of a changing job market

    A panel discussion at RIT among some of the Rochester region’s key stakeholders—employers, government officials, economic development leaders, and higher-education experts—provided the launch for RIT Certified, which aims to provide a wide range of alternative education courses, certificate programs, and skill-based learning experiences targeting people beginning their careers, changing roles, maintaining their existing job, or advancing in the workplace.

    RIT Master Plan cuts tuition in half for eligible alumni

    RIT is extending a special graduate tuition scholarship program to recent alumni as the COVID-19 pandemic enters its third year. The program helps alumni who graduated during the pandemic enhance their skill set for the new economy through master’s degrees that build upon collaboration, analytical thinking, complex problem solving, and flexibility.

    RIT partners with industry experts on new curriculum in electronics design and manufacturing

    EMA Design Automation, Cadence Design Systems Inc., and RIT are collaborating to provide college-level printed circuit board (PCB) design courses for students in RIT’s College of Engineering Technology. Taught both online and in-person by PCB design industry experts, the courses can provide engineers with training and development opportunities in key areas of electronics design and manufacturing.

    RIT/NTID to offer certificate in Deaf interpreting

    A non-credit Certificate in Deaf Interpreting (CIDI) will be offered by NTID in the 2022-2023 academic year. The 20-week program runs from September 2022 to April 2023 and trains Deaf professionals to interpret in a variety of discourses.
