    RIT announces summer session course offerings in online format

    Registration is open for RIT's first set of summer sessions that will be offered in an online format. The goals are for students to continue making progress toward their degrees, earn additional credit hours to catch up or get ahead, or explore interests outside of their majors.

    Osher at RIT to offer online classes for 50-plus learners

    Thinkers ages 50 and beyond are trying out online education this spring at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at RIT. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Osher at RIT cancelled all in-person classes for its spring term. In order to continue its programing, the Osher Council decided to offer classes online using the Zoom video/audio conferencing system.

    The new graduate degree in health and well-being management will prepare students for careers in primary health care, corporate America and community health programs, or for medical/dental school and health-related Ph.D. programs.

    Global Cybersecurity Institute to open in 2020

    Cybercrime is costing the world trillions of dollars, and analysts say that there aren’t enough qualified professionals to prevent those attacks. To address this problem, RIT is creating the Global Cybersecurity Institute (GCI), aimed at meeting the demand for computing security and artificial intelligence professionals, while developing future technologies, protocols and human understanding needed to address the global cybersecurity crisis.

    From MicroMaster to RIT master

    MicroMasters programs are designed for learners with an undergraduate degree who are looking to advance their careers and learn new skills. Learners who successfully earn an RITx MicroMasters certificate may apply for admission to the RIT program that offers a pathway to credit aligned with their certificate.
