Experiential Learning

Experiential learning enables students to apply what they’ve learned to a variety of rich experiences outside the classroom, but student health and safety is a priority. Students on co-op should follow guidance from their employers. Study abroad programs are suspended until further notice.

Cooperative Education

For fall co-op assignments, students should follow guidance from their employers about reporting to a company site or if they will be working remotely. Follow the employer's workplace policies and procedures for safety. Career Services Coordinators are available for questions or concerns.

Study Abroad

Study abroad programs and all international travel by students for the 2020-2021 academic year are suspended until further notice. Applications for summer 2021 travel programs will remain open as we monitor the situation. Students can participate in a number of virtual intercultural experiences, such as virtual overseas internships, for students seeking to enrich their cultural knowledge and develop global leadership skills.

Learn more about RIT Global

Students are able to participate in a number of virtual intercultural experiences for credit or not for credit through RIT or our affiliate partners. These might include completely virtual study abroad courses, virtual international internships, or regular RIT courses with an international component such as global team projects or international guest lecturers. Currently we have opportunities available in Croatia, Kosovo, Dubai, China, Hungary, Spain, and Italy. We will also be hosting a number of events, workshops, and programs that help students continue to grow as global citizens and explore culture such as virtual international city tours, a diversity speaker series, and more.
