RIT President David Munson said he is thrilled with how COVID-19 testing is going on campus. Munson said about 95 percent of RIT students are complying with weekly testing, but everyone must remain vigilant by wearing a face mask, frequently washing their hands, and distancing from others.
The upcoming summer term will begin on May 26. One session will run 10 weeks, and two shorter sessions will each run five weeks. The graduate online session will run seven weeks. Colleges are still working on the summer offerings, which are expected to be mostly online. The schedule will be viewable on March 8, and registration for summer sessions opens March 15.
Students within RIT’s three hospitality clubs and the Eta Sigma Delta honor society used their Recharge Day to bake and deliver cookies to first responders at Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital and Unity Hospital.
