RIT will welcome the 10th class of Destler/Johnson Rochester City Scholars, a program that has provided more than 200 graduates of the Rochester City School District and Rochester charter schools with the opportunity to attend RIT tuition-free since 2010. RIT is hosting workshops this summer to help high school students from the Rochester area learn about the science behind clean energy and fuel cells. The “Clean Energy: Electricity Generation Using Fuel Cells” workshops feature hands-on experiments and tours of RIT’s facilities.

RIT is helping the area’s sharpest young minds gain an interest in cybersecurity careers through free summer programs for middle and high school students. The Co-ed RIT GenCyber camp will be held July 8–12, while the RIT GenCyber for Girls camp will be held July 22–26.

The Explore Your Future program at NTID offers deaf and hard-of-hearing college-bound high school students who will begin their junior or senior year in fall 2019 a unique opportunity to experience life on a college campus, explore their interests and sample various careers.

Sue’s Tech Kitchen, a STEM-Ed camp developed by Zuckerberg Media, will be offered through RIT's Camp Tiger program, formerly known as Kids on Campus, July 15-19, for children in third to fifth grade.

There’s always something new to experience at the Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival, which this year featured more than 400 exhibits, including a human hamster wheel, performances by student ensembles, cutting-edge video games and demonstrations to determine how color can affect your mood.
