Four alumni from the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences in the College of Art and Design—each of whom has been recognized as either a Pulitzer Prize winner or finalist in the last decade—will visit the RIT campus March 19-22 for a series of special events.

Rochester Institute of Technology and Autodesk, the international software company whose name is synonymous with computer-aided design (CAD) software, have signed a partnership agreement that will expand RIT’s multidisciplinary educational initiatives with Autodesk across the university.

Most college career fairs pair students with company recruiters looking to hire students after graduation. But at RIT, thousands of co-op placements a year are also offered, giving students experiential learning and a foot in the door after graduation.

National Engineers Week takes place this week at RIT, and the university will participate in the annual recognition of engineers’ contributions by hosting a variety of programming for those interested in learning more about what engineers do. 

A diverse set of speakers, including entrepreneurs, social activists and students, will inspire attendees at TEDxRIT, RIT’s independently organized TED event. The talks will be live streamed on Facebook.

Professionals and students interested in being able to explain complex topics to any audience can now prepare to become certified professional technical communicators at Rochester Institute of Technology.

For the past six years, RIT has celebrated TAG Day to show appreciation for those who have given back to the university. In addition to hanging tags in different areas of the university that have been impacted by donor support, The Fund for RIT is hosting a TAG Day Fair until 2 p.m. today.

A collection of paintings on display at NTID explores deafness in a unique and powerful way. “Rise Up: Silent Margins,” a collection of 17 paintings by RIT/NTID alumna Ashley Hannan, runs through Feb. 23 in NTID’s Dyer Arts Center.
