    Biochemistry student receives Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

    RIT third-year biochemistry student Aidan Miller has been awarded a Barry Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigious undergraduate research scholarship in the United States, given to students pursuing a career in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering.

    RIT Singers team up with Madrigalia and RIT exhibitors

    The RIT Singers will join members of the local singing group Madrigalia to present a concert dedicated to protecting and sustaining the Earth, and revitalizing nature. Formed in 1975, the chamber choir has collaborated with local and international audiences as well as premiering new works.

    Finals week is approaching and, in addition to studying, a club of students, nearly 150 strong, gather to perform “Snake Eater” from the video game Metal Gear Solid 3, the title theme from Octopath Traveler, and “The Battle at the Summit” from Pokémon Sun and Moon.

    Pranjal Sawai, center, an MFA student in visual communication design, won first place for her visual exhibit at the RIT Graduate Showcase on April 11. Her work is a reinterpretation of Panchatantra, or Indian animal fables. Sawai was inspired by traditional Indian shadow puppetry and western typography. She learned about typography while studying under RIT Assistant Professor Anne Jorden.
