Students in Zagreb will participate in excursions as part of their study abroad experience which are included in the cost of the program fee. More details on the excursions offered will be made available once you arrive in Croatia. Excursions may include:

Plitvice Lakes National Park

On this one day field trip (Saturday or Sunday) you will visit Plitvice Lakes National Park (pictured above), viewing 16 beautiful lakes, enjoying the diverse plant and animal life and observing over 50 species of butterflies. Lunch will be included.

Visit to Krka Falls & Split

Krka National Park is situated along the Krka River in southern Croatia and is known for a series of seven waterfalls and multiple nature trails. The nearby town of Split located on the Dalmatian Coast, is known for its beaches and the fortresslike complex at its center.

Trakošćan/Zagorje

Trakošćan castle is worth a visit for its well-presented museum and attractive grounds. The town of Zagorje offers delightful villages, medieval castles, endless vineyards and thermal springs that speckle its rolling hills

Istria Weekend Trip (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

On this three-day excursion, visit four unique cities over the course of a weekend—Pula, Porec, Motovun and Rovinj. 

Slavonia & Baranja Weekend Trip (Saturday & Sunday)

On this two-day excursion you’ll travel to Osijek, visit the state Lipicaner ergela in Dakovo and the Kopacki Rit nature reserve. 

In addition to planned excursions, the Zagreb campus also offers nearby entertainment options that include the cinema, concerts, museums, sightseeing, disco clubs and local community experiences.
