Students who apply for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship are eligible for a CIEE Go Global Grant, regardless of whether they are selected as a Gilman Scholar. Students must upload proof of application submission to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and submit their CIEE Scholarships and Grants application by October 15 for spring programs, or April 1 for summer and fall programs to be eligible for the grant. CIEE January programs are not eligible for CIEE Go Global Grants.
Students must apply for the Gilman Scholarship (must be a U.S. Citizen and receive a Pell grant to be eligible) and complete a second application for the Go Global Gilman Grant through CIEE.
Must be going on a CIEE program.

The Global Access Initiative (GAIN) Travel Grant helps cover outbound and return airfare to all CIEE program locations for students who demonstrate financial need. Students eligible for Federal Pell Grants are guaranteed a CIEE GAIN Travel Grant. To receive this grant, students must complete and submit their CIEE Scholarships and Grants application by October 15 (January and spring programs), or by April 1 (summer and fall programs). CIEE GAIN Travel Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis and offers rolling acceptances so you can find out if you receive the grant shortly after you apply.
If awarded, student would book their flight through CIEE's travel agent.
Must be going on a CIEE program.
$350 to $2,000 toward airfare; award amount depends on CIEE program location.
RIT study abroad partner, CIEE, is offering several $4,000-$6,000 scholarships for RIT students to study at one of their Global Institutes in London, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Copenhagen, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Sydney or Shanghai for a semester.

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a summer study abroad opportunity for American college and university students to learn languages essential to America’s engagement with the world. Participants study one of 13 critical languages for approximately 8-10 weeks over the summer.
The CLS Program is part of a U.S. government effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical foreign languages. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period, and later apply their critical language skills in their future professional careers.
Each summer, CLS provides rigorous academic instruction in fifteen languages essential to America’s engagement with the world. CLS participants are citizen ambassadors, sharing American values and promoting American influence abroad.
